Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
Juice of one lemon
6 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
2 tbsp butter
Pastry for 9'' two-crust pie
Preparation:
1. Heat oven to 425° F.
2. Prepare pastry.
3. Stir together sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and lemon juice; mix with apples.
4. Turn into pastry-lined pie pan; dot with butter.
5. Bake 40-50 minutes or until crust is brown.
